Job Description:

Graymills Corporation is a small family-owned manufacturer of industrial machinery, including pumps and parts washers. Position responsible for managing Cost Accounting and Cost Analyst responsibilities. Additionally, this person will be heavily involved in the Annual Physical Inventory process.

Essential Function and Responsibilities:

  • Supports the Month-End Close process
  • Calculates the monthly inventory and cost of goods sold (COGS)
  • Maintains perpetual inventory.
  • Manages Standard Cost system.
  • Conducts Product Line Gross Margin reviews for management.
  • Planning, Studying and collecting data to determine the cost of Business products and Business activities.
  • Analyzing data collected and recording/updating of Production Router Rates.
  • Involved in Cost Reduction & Process Improvement Projects.
  • Analyzing changes in Product Design, raw materials, and manufacturing processes to determine the effects on manufacturing costs.
  • Analyzing actual manufacturing costs and preparing reports comparing actual costs to standard costs.
  • Generate monthly & annual PPV reports and analysis.
  • Developing Cost Estimates of new Products & assist with Pricing Proposals.
  • Involved in Annual Price Book & Price Lists reviews.
  • Manages Annual Physical Inventory process and monitors the monthly Cycle Count program.
  • Reconciles both our Finished Goods Inventory and Work In Process Inventory.
  • Review Inventory Reserves and Run A/R Aging reports.

Additional Duties & Back-up Responsibilities:

- General Accounting functions

- Accounts Receivable functions

- Accounts Payable functions

- Customer Invoicing including On-Line Invoicing

Experience and Skills:

-Bachelors Degree in Accounting.

-2-4 years experience in General or Cost Accounting

-Experience in a Manufacturing environment.

-Proficient in MS Office and expert level with Excel

-Read blueprints and interpret Bill of Materials
